Alpaca Factory

Friday was pretty cool because my Spanish class and one other went on a tour of an Alpaca thread factory. Alpacas are sort of a cross between a sheep and a llama, but their wool is super soft. The tour was pretty cool, somewhat uneventful. We were all pretty hyped about visiting the store at the factory because everything in-country has been pretty cheap. Before taking us into the store, they took the group into a room to check out some of their styles of sweaters and stuff. We were all pretty impressed at the designs..good looking stuff. Then, they took us into the actual store. All of the stuff in the store was terrible. We found out later that the sweaters in the room were models that they had used in a parade the night before. The stuff in the store, well I really don´t know why it was so hideous. Still, we had a pretty good time trying on the different styles and modeling them for the rest of the group.
