Sick

Yesterday, my family had me cook macaroni and cheese for them with cheese from the market. We had been advised not to eat the cheese, but they went out of their way to have one of my favorite dishes for dinner, so I ate it anyway. That night, I started to not feel so good. No diarrhea, but still, not good. Today, I don´t feel terrible, but again, not good. No worries, we are going to the PC training center Wednesday, I will get tested then. I feel like my friend Josh said he felt all last week. Not terrible, but just sort of lousy. Josh also ate the cheese. He also went to the doctor...the diagnosis.........amoebas. So what, I think I have amoebas..as the Peace Corps says, ¨Toughest Job You´ll Ever Love¨..Right?

Mike! Aside from the current sickness (and possible amoebas), it sounds like you're having an amazing adventure thus far! I'm actually filling out a Peace Corps application this week... I figure, I'll finish up my Master's in August and work for a bit, and then maybe I'll serve. We'll see, but I decided to at least start the process at a minimum since it takes so long. Anyway, live it up there, and keep all of us informed on what's going on in your life there! Stay safe.
